In a blowout game, Portland High School prevailed against South Portland High School Varsity 9 - 2 at Portland Ice Arena on Monday. Portland High School tallied up two unanswered goals to take the lead in the first period. In the second, Portland High School outscored their opponents by one goal and kept the lead. South Portland High School Varsity's fate was sealed. In the final period Portland High School scored four unanswered goals adding to the margin of victory and winning the game.

Leading the way to a win for Portland High School, Forward Player netted the hat trick with nine goals.

Portland High School's Goalie Player blocked nine out of 11 shots on goal for the win. South Portland High School Varsity's Shannon Tully had only 41 saves on 50 shots on goal.

This was the season's first game for Portland High School.
