Jackson Wilson gets the hat trick while South Portland Middle School B Team excels on offense to win big on the road

Leaving their opponents in the dust, South Portland Middle School B Team prevailed against Bonny Eagle 11 - 1 at FFIC on Sunday. South Portland Middle School B Team outscored Bonny Eagle five to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. South Portland Middle School B Team gained one unanswered goal in the second period and held on to its lead. It would prove to be too much for Bonny Eagle. In the final period South Portland Middle School B Team scored five straight goals padding its lead and winning the game.

Showing strong scoring ability, Jackson Wilson made the hat trick with three goals and also two assists. During the first period, Wilson lit the lamp without assistance. Wilson scored another goal. Sophia Venditti got the assist on this goal. South Portland Middle School B Team fired up their game when Wilson lit the lamp in the third period with assists from Wyatt Winson and Hannah Twombly. South Portland Middle School B Team's Akash Bhatnagar netted two goals for South Portland Middle School B Team. Getting started, Bhatnagar got a goal in the first period. Hannah Twombly and Wyatt Winson assisted on this goal. Bhatnagar got a second goal. Zoe Mazur got the assist on this goal. Caden Horton, Matthew Conley, Zoe Mazur, Joshua Doan, Dylan Houle, and Wyatt Winson each contributed one goal for South Portland Middle School B Team.

South Portland Middle School B Team's Scott Lewis stopped nine out of 10 shots to take the win. Bonny Eagle's Goalie Player had just 19 saves on 30 shots and so suffered the loss.

This was the first game for Bonny Eagle.
