Portland High School defeated South Portland High School Varsity 6 - 2 at Portland Ice Arena on Monday. Portland High School outscored South Portland High School Varsity three to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Portland High School gained three straight goals in the second period and held on to its lead. In the third period South Portland High School Varsity scored one goal but it was too little too late and they ended up with the loss.

Leading the scoring for Portland High School, Forward Player got the hat trick with six goals.

South Portland High School Varsity's Shannon Tully had only 9 saves on 15 shots on goal.

Portland High School ended the game with a record of 2-0. South Portland High School Varsity finished the game with a record of 2-13.
