Leaving their opponents in the dust, Gorham High School beat South Portland High School Varsity 12 - 1 at Portland Ice Arena on Tuesday. Gorham High School tallied up five goals to take the lead in the first period. In the middle period, Gorham High School outscored South Portland High School Varsity two to one and kept the lead. South Portland High School Varsity's fate was sealed. In the final period Gorham High School scored five goals improving its score and winning the game.
Leading the way to a win for Gorham High School, Forward Player got the hat trick with 12 goals.
Having a huge impact in the game, Gorham High School's Goalie Player finished with 13 saves to get the win. South Portland High School Varsity's Shannon Tully had just 40 saves on 52 shots.
This was the first game for Gorham High School.
